Medeama suspends defender Otuo indefinitely

Posted On Saturday, 23rd February 2013

Medeama have suspended defender Otuo Acheampong indefinitely for going AWOL

Ghanaian Premier League leaders Medeama SC have banned influential defender Otuo Acheampong indefinitely after going AWOL.

Medeama officials granted permission to Otuo attend to personal issues for just one day but he ended up spending up to one week.

Medeama wants to ensure discipline in camp ahead of the resumption of the Glo Premier League on Sunday and have axed the center-half.

“He came to us to seek permission to be away for one day but he ended up spending up to one week,” Medeama Vice President Albert Commey told Accra-based Happy FM.

It is however unclear whether Otuo ban could affect his inclusion in the local Black Stars as he is part of coach Dauda Lutterodt’s plans.
