Medeama president Moses Armah vows club will beat Kotoko to recapture FA Cup crown

Medeama president Moses Armah has vowed his club will beat Kotoko for the second time to recapture the MTN FA Cup title this year.

The Mauve and Yellows sliced Hearts 2-1 to progress to their second final in two years at the Robert Mensah stadium in Cape Coast on Sunday.

In-form midfielder Kwesi Donsu bagged a sensational brace to hand the Tarkwa-based side their ticket to the final and set-up a repeat of the 2013 final.

Medeama posted a narrow 1-0 win over the Ghanaian champions to win the FA Cup crown two years ago and club president Moses Armah is confident his side will repeat the dose.

“We are going to win the FA Cup. We’ll beat Kotoko again. We have a good team and we’re building slowly,” he told GHANAsoccernet.com

“I am happy with our progress so far. We have a youthful team and we must give credit to the coach for a good job done.

“We know Kotoko will be aiming for revenge but we won’t give them that pleasure. We are going to fight and ensure we recapture this title.”

The finals will be played on August 30 at a yet to be determined venue.
