Medeama president Moses Armah has heaped praise on his players for qualifying to playoff stage of the 2014 Confederation Cup.

The Mauve and Yellows lost 1-0 to Zesco United in Ndola but progressed 2-1 on aggregate.

“They have made all of us proud and we will keep fighting till the end of the campaign,’’ Armah said.

''They played well and I think they deserve to go to the next stage of the competition.

''I have to commend the players, the technical team and the management for this wonderful feat.

''Now we have to plan for the league stages and ensure we put up a good performance there as well.

''Playing in the continental competition is a difficult task, but we have to put in our best to make a significant impact in the money zone.''

The Tarkwa-based side will know their opponents for the next round when the draw is conducted on Tuesday.

Medeama could face one of the big sides; Al Ahly of Egypt, Sewe Sport, Horoya Club, Nkana FC, Coton Sport or AC Leopards.
