Medeama begin their search for a successor to Prince Owusu bearing in mind the need for an experience hand to rebuild the side.

The Mauve and Yellows were dealt the severe blow last week when coach Prince Owusu announced he was leaving to take up a new role at Sudanese side Al Khartoum.

The former Tema Youth trainer is expected to deputize for ex-Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah when he takes up the new job in the North African country.

Bechem United coach Tom Strand has contacted the club over the possibility of taken up the job while veteran JE Sarpong has also been linked with the vacant role.

The club was forced to reject media reports it had reached an agreement with Berekum Chelsea youth coach Annor Walker to replace the departing Owusu.

The Tarkwa-based side have been preparing assiduously ahead of the start of the new season under their new trainer until the latest setback.

Club president Moses Armah has insisted he’s not in a rush to hand the job to a new person.
