Medeama coach Tom Strand insists the side must improve on its scoring rate despite the 3-1 win over WAFA on Wednesday.

The Yellow and Mauves sealed their place in the semi finals of the MTN FA Cup with a win over their Sogakope-based opponents before their home crowd at the T&A Park in Tarkwa.

Medeama will now be facing Hearts of Oak for a place in the finals of this year’s knockout competition.

And coach Tom Strand admits his team needs to improve its conversion rate if they are to make further progress in the competition.

"We created a lot of chances in the first half but didn't score," he said after the win over WAFA.

"The second half was much better where we scored but we need to do better in our first halves.

"We need to score goals with the many chances we create."
