Medeama boss Bashir Hayford hails his team’s spirit

Posted On Tuesday, 10th April 2012

Bashir Hayford is thrilled with the renewed spirit of his men

Medeama SC boss Bashir Hayford was in an upbeat mood and praised his players despite their goalless draw game at Heart of Lions over the weekend.

The Mauves and Yellows put up one of their best away performances but could only manage to share the spoils in a highly entertaining game at the Kpando Park.

But their inconsistencies in the Ghana Premier League has left them with no chance to win the league but can still push for a top-four finish if they start grinding out results in their next 7 matches.

The former Asante Kotoko boss who is refusing to give up on the prestigious top-four finish identified the spirit, desire and determination among his men as key to achieving their dream.

“I am very happy with the team spirit and how the players are beginning to rally around each other,” Hayford told medeamasc.com

“It has been tough for us since the league started but when I look at the renewed spirit of the players; it gives me a great sense that we’ll be the side to beat next season.

“The league looks almost impossible but the top-four is within our reach and we’ll do something about it seriously,”

Medeama will next battle relegation strapped Bechem United on Sunday.
