Medeama assistant coach Tanko Shaibu has praised the side’s strength in- depth after a fabulous start to their Premier League campaign.
The Mauves and Yellows are three points clear at the top of the table after a hard-fought 2-0 win at Real Tamale United on Sunday.
The ambitious Tarkwa-based side are determined to win their first title in the top flight and represent the country in Africa’s elite inter-club competition in 2014.
Assistant trainer, Shaibu, who joined the club from Hearts of Oak at the start of the season, is positive they can achieve their target of winning the ultimate.
“The quality of players that we have is fantastic and I believe every team will have it tough to be beat us,” Tanko told medeamasc.com
‘The sense of purpose and unity in the team gives me hope that these crop of players are ready to win the title and represent the club in Africa.
“It may be early days yet but we have resolved to write our name in the history books.”
Medeama host champions Kotoko on Sunday and will perhaps be their biggest test of the season.
