Ghana coach Maxwell Konadu has reiterated that his side must double up their efforts against leaders Libya on Friday afternoon in Bloemfontein.

The soft-spoken trainer stayed back to watch the Mediterranean Knights in their 2-0 win over much-fancied Ethiopia last Monday.

Ghana will be looking to neutralize and minimize Libya’s midfield which is marshaled by Mohamed Elgadi along with Faisal Ali Saleh and Motasem Sabbou.

Another concern for Ghana will be putting the stops on quick forwards Elmutasem Abushnaf and Mohamed Ghanudi.

“There is no doubt Libya is a good team with enterprising youth who have speed and fluency about them,” Konadu said a press conference.

“Both teams know that another three points increase the chances of making out of the group.

“Of course one wants to play the final group match without pressure so yes we will go for maximum points.”

The winner of this Group C clash will secure early qualification to the last eight of the tournament.
