Mathew Amoah to play for Heerenven in Dutch Cup

Posted On Thursday, 1st November 2012

Mathew Amoah is set to start for Heerenveen

Ghana striker Matthew Amoah will be handed game time by Heerenveen in Thursday’s Dutch Cup match against HVV Hollandia.

The 32-year-old gets a chance because coach Marco van Basten is without injured strikers Alfred Finnbogason (hip), Filip Djuricic (knee) and Rajiv La Parra.

Also, Mark Uth and Samir Fazli and winger Oussama Tannane are injured.

Amoah, who joined Heerenveen this summer from Turkish side Mersin Idman Yurdu, has been battling injuries since July.

He visited the treatment room for the first time when he picked up an injury before the start of the season.
