Match Report: WAFA register first win of the season with victory over Great Olympics
WAFA recorded their first win of the season

West African Football Academy secured their first win of the campaign after beating Accra Great Olympics 2-1 at the WAFA Park in Sogakokpe on Sunday in the Ghana Premier League.

David Appiah scored the opener for the visitors in the 27th minute, ending the first half 1-0 in favor of Great Olympics.

Kennedy Kissi Koranteng however equalized in the 64th minute before Samuel Tetteh added WAFA’s second goal of the day in the 77th minute.

The win takes coach John Killa’s side to 12th on the League table with Olympics lying right beneath them.

WAFA, who were promoted to the Ghana Premier League along with Olympics this season, were hoping for their first win of the season after suffering losses against Hearts of Oak and AshantiGold.

But had to work above themselves to beat Olympics who protested against the referee's performance after the final whistle.
