New Edubiase United threw Hearts of Oak back into their woes after beating them 2-1 in the Ghana Premier League at the Len Clay Stadium in Obuasi on Saturday afternoon.

Fuseini Nuhu struck a powerful low drive home for Edubiase in the 14th minute but youngster Kenneth Okoro gave Hearts hopes when he finished off a spilled effort in the 19th minute.

Abdul Latif Annabilah then stole the show with a goal of the season contender when he blasted home a powerful shot from 25 yards following a defensive error by Hearts defender Isaac Oduro.

Eric Kumi appeared to have been pecked down by Edubiase defender James Boadu in the 3rd minute after breaking free on the right-flank but referee Seidu Bomison ignored his appeal.

The New Edubiase United managed to keep the attacking threats concealed by Togolese forward Foovi Aguidi who was playing in a deceitful lying role.

Hearts found their own rhythm and send stop-gap coach Edward Ansah back into his seat in the dug-out as they took charge of the game.

But the first real attempt at goal came from the boot of Alhassan Nuhu who fired a canon at Seidu Mutawakilu's goal after getting the better of Inusah Musah.

That effort was a signal of what was to come in minutes as Edubiase scored the opener from Fuseini Nuhu who fired an acute low drive to the far right corner.

They caught the Hearts defence off their guards as Bernard Ofori conveniently beat a seemingly offside trap to flick a stylish pass to  Fuseini Nuhu who beat Mutawakilu after stretching him to his elastic limit.

While Edubiase had their momentum gathered by their lead, Hearts rose to level things up. The talented Emmanuel Hayford artfully articulated a free-kick from 40 yards. His effort was blocked but Sabhan Laryea was there to punched home but goalkeeper Ben Mensah spilled the ball and the predatory Kenneth Okoro arrived in time to finish it off.

Edubiase head coach Tony Commey was forced to make an early substitution as Felix Afriyie limped off with a muscle injury with Bismark Idan taking his place.

The former Premier League title winner was well checked by Ghana 20 defender Owusu Bempah who had their upper hand in their two initial face-offs.

After Hearts dominating hostilities in most part of the second-half it was Edubiase who got the goal following an eye-catching brilliant exchanges. Isaac Oduro gave away the ball at the vital spot and the aggressive Bismark Idan laid a cross from the right which was chested down by Nuhu and Anabilla arrived to hammer home a fantastic volley.

Ansah introduced Richard Yamoah and Kwame Kizito for Kenneth Okoro and Aguidi respectively but there was little they could do before Bomison ended proceedings in Obuasi as Harry Zakkour, Tommy Okine and the rest of the old gurus saw their revival campaign crashed down before their very eyes.
