Match Report: King Faisal 0-2 Liberty Professionals
Liberty Professionals beat King Faisal in Kumasi on Wednesday

Liberty Professionals condemned King Faisal into the relegation zone after thumping them 2-0 at the Baba Yara Stadium in the Ghana Premier League week 28 fixture in Kumasi on Wednesday.

Former Ghana U20 striker Kennedy Ashia hit the opener a minute into the second-half before Jafaru Samed nailed the game with an 89th minute sucker punch.

There was a sat drama in the 85th minute as a King Faisal official fainted in the dug-out after a Joshua Akoto near-post miss.

Faisal went into the game hoping to claim victory against Liberty who are also not entirely safe from demotion but there was general disappointment among players and officials as the Scientific Soccer Lads punished them for their fragility and indecision.

Ashia's opener in the 46th minute had a touch of class as he brilliantly hammered a close range effort home to send shivers down the spines of Faisal before Jafaru finally delivered the bitter pill with an 89th minute unbelievable strike.

Faisal's disappointment was summed up when an official fainted on the touch-line after Joshua Akoto managed to miss a chance with only the net to beat.
