Inter Allies posted a 2-0 comfortable win over Sekondi Hasaacas at the Tema Park in the Ghana Premier League on Wednesday afternoon.

2013 Ghana U20 defender Baba Mensah powered Allies into the lead after expertly converting a penalty kick won by forward Ropapa Mensah in the 4th minute.

The game needed to travel for just 15 extra minutes before the second goal registered as youngster Eliasu Fuseinu rose to head the ball home to cushion the lead.

The opening goal arrived when goalkeeper Stephen Akurugu who took the gloves from George Owu fouled Mensah inside the box.

Referee O B Amankwaa pointed to the spot. His name-sake Baba Mensah accepted the challenge and sent Akurugu the wrong way for the opener.

Allies coach Paa Kwesi Fabin urged on his men to go for the kill in the first-half and in the 19th minute Fuseinu registered the second goal after outjumping his marker to head home for the second.

Former Ghana U20 attacker Samuel Afful tried to make a number of incursions but he was stopped in his tracks by a well organised Allies defence as they jealously defended their lead for the entire first department.

Hasaacas coach made an early substitution few minutes into the second half as Afful was replaced Kojo Poku in the 56thminute.
