Great Olympics pulled further from the relegation zone by beating Wa All Stars 1-0 to record their second straight win of the campaign on Sunday.

The Wonder Club, who struggled in the first half, improved after the break and needed a header from Agbashie Doetse to envelope All Stars visit with defeat.

It was his second goal in a row after solitary strike last week gave them a win at Liberty Professionals- their first away win.

It was match with few scoring opportunities but the only one Olympics created before the hour mark found the back of the net, thanks to some intricate game plan.

But chunk of the credit must go to coach Yaw Acheampong who introduced striker Daniel Appiah just before the start of the second half and he was a real game changer.

He was tormentor-in-chief the 45 minutes in spent on the pitch and put the All Stars defenders out of the equation on few occasions.

Olympics Number 10 man Francis Attuquaye was also exciting to watch and it was his corner-kick which was first headed toward goal by Kwame Boateng and then Doetse planted down to beat goalkeeper Richard Ofori on 58 minutes.

The first installment was for All Stars who pinged the ball around but threatened little leaving Richard Kinsgon with very little to do.

He made only one decent save and a partial parry in the second half seems to have saved the hosts.

Olympics missed the services of returnee Godwin Attram who has a bout with malaria.
