Match Report: Amidaus Professionals 2-1 AshGold SC
Amidaus Professionals narrowly defeated AshGold in Tema

Amidaus Professionals responded to string of victories recorded by the relegation-threatened sides by posting a 2-1 victory over AshGold SC in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.

Isaac Amoah and Amos Acheampong scored in either halves to give the relegation-threatened side a 2-0 lead before Abdul Shafiu Mumuni pulled a goal back for the Miners but his 78th minute strike was too late to help back into the game.

Amidaus knowing very well of the task ahead and the competitive nature of the contest at the bottom halve of the table took matters into their own hands at the Tema Park and sealed victory by scoring two goals within 60 minutes.

Youngster Isaac Amoah escaped a couple of legs in the midfield and laced well with former Hearts of Oak midfielder Isaac Ofori in midfielder before finishing perfectly to hand Amidaus the lead.

Amos Acheampong topped up the scoring on the hour mark for Amidaus but a defensive blunder gifted AshGold an opportunity and Shafiu Mumuni finished neatly for his 5th goal of the season.

But they still remain in the relegation zone.
