Multi-talented Ghana midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah moved a step closer to returning to full fitness after completing his first field training session on Saturday.

The 25-year-old Black Stars midfielder has been out of action for Juventus since November last year with a left knee injury that ruled him out of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.

Asamoah was expected to spend two months out but complications meant the former Udinese man had to endure a lengthy spell on the side lines.

Asamoah pain was compounded when he was left out of Juventus’s team for the champions league knock out stages the first time he has endured this since moving to Turin three seasons ago.

He has however given himself a fighting chance to play football again this season after completing his first field work in five months.

He now has two weeks to show tremendous improvement to get a run out for the season.

Devoid of any set backs in the final stages of his recovery Asamoah could make his much awaited return to the field by the end of the month.
