Massive boost for Ghana as John Boye returns from injury
John Boye is back at training

Defender John Boye has resumed training at Stade Rennes to hand Ghana a massive boost ahead of next month’s 2014 World Cup qualifier against Zambia, Ghana's leading football website can exclusively report.

The central defender missed the start of the French Ligue 1 season last weekend due to a muscle problem.

The 26-year-old had withdraw from the Ghana squad for the international friendly against Turkey on Wednesday due the fresh injury.

The injury also threatened Boye’s participation in the deciding 2014 World Cup qualifier against Zambia early next month.

But the Ghana international has responded well to treatment and has begun light training with his club.

Boye alongside Rennes physical trainer Geoffrey Van Overschelde and three other players did some running around and engaged in healthy tennis ball games on Tuesday.

This is a good sign the Ghana defender is well on his way to a full recovery well in time for the Black Stars’ crucial game against the Chipolopolo on September 6.
