Kotoko coach Mas-Ud Dramani has told his players in Ghana’s CHAN squad to prove their mettle and make the final squad for the tournament next year.

Eight Kotoko players were named in a preliminary 27-man squad for camping in Namibia on Friday.

They are Isaac Amoako, Abeiku Ainooson, Kwabena Adusei, Michael Akuffu, Jordan Opoku, Richard Mpong, Yahaya Mohammed and Seidu Bansey.

With the exception of Bansey, the seven other players were part of the team squad that beat Senegal 3-1 last month to win the WAFU Cup at the Baba Yara Stadium.

“To those who are part of the home based Black Stars team for the CHAN tournament, I wish you good luck. I want you to showcase the quality in you to be considered for the World Cup,” Dramani said during an interaction with his players last week.

Ghana are in Group C alongside Congo, Ethiopia and Libya for the tournament which will run from 11 January to 01 February.
