Marseille target Ghana defender Boye

John Boye has been targeted by Marseille

French Ligue 1 giants Olympique Marseille have lined up Ghana defender John Boye for the possible departure of Nicolas Nkoulou.

Nkoulou, the Cameroon international, has been linked with an exit from the Stade Velodrome with January being likely.

Boye has hugely impressed this season for Rennes in the 12 appearances he has made so far.

The 25-year-old centre-back has been targeted by clubs in the English Premier League and Bundesliga.

Boye’s current contract with Rennes will run out in June 2014.
