Africanfootball.com understands that Esperance de Tunis have received an offer from French Ligue 1 side Marseille to sign their Ghanaian player Harrison Afful.

According to reports in the Tunisian capital, Marseille are looking at snapping up the versatile player during the next transfer window.

The Ghana international will be relatively cheaper for Marseille to sign now before heading to Brazil for the 2014 World Cup finals.

A publication on gnet.tn claims Esperance are studying the offer but the player is in the dark over a move to Europe.

“I haven’t heard anything yet and I am still keeping my fingers crossed,” the 27-year-old Africanfootball.com

“ I always here these stories and I know my time will come soon to play in Europe or elsewhere.”

Afful, who joined Esperance in 2009, can play on both sides as a wing-back, right wing and as a holding midfielder.

The former is fondly remembered for his goal which won the 2011 CAF Champions League for Esperance.

The best, but most underrated right back we have. I love his passes, endurance and attacking attitude. He will succeed in Euroupe.

Sometimes it doesn’t matter whether u shortor tall, dark or brown, black or white, time and opportunities are presented ylto us all equally!! Afful has shown to us all that, we can reach the apex of our profession if we stride hard with focus and determination! I have heard a lot of people saying he is too short and what have u, but this man has proved us all wrong that indeed a black west African player can succeed in the Maghreb region! Thumb up to u and I definitely know that u have peak correctly and at the right time to take European football by storm! Ghana indeed has a modern full back!!
