Maritzburg United are adamant Ghanaian winger Frank Sarfo Gyamfi remain their player after a loan move to Asante Kotoko fell through.
The 19-year-old was almost farmed out on loan to Ghanaian giants Kotoko after a difficult campaign last term.
Gyamfi struggled to get regular games with the Team of Choice due to niggle injuries.
The Ghana U20 star was therefore looking to rebuild his career with a loan spell back in the Ghanaian top flight.
His purported move to the Ghanaian champions however fell through at the depth over a registration technicality – prompting his recall by Maritzburg United.
Much has since not been heard of the talented winger but South African club insists the ex Wa Alls Stars player is still with them.
“Frank [Sardo Gyamfi] is now here with us,” says United team manager Quintin Jettoo.
“There was a possibility that he might go back to Ghana but that move broke down and he is now back to play for us.”
The Ghanaian is yet to make an appearance in this season’s South African top flight as he continue to work his way back to full fitness.
