New Mali coach Alain Giresse has revealed he had no hand in the call-ups for the friendlies against Gabon and Ghana.
The Frenchman is making a return to the coaching job and his contract takes effect from 01 April.
He watched the Eagles play their first friendly in a 4-3 defeat to Gabon.
“I did not make the list of players summoned; everything was organized before I sign. I am watching the players I did not know and develop the prospects of future maturities.’’ Giresse said.
