Kinnah Phiri is sure Malawi will beat Ghana
Malawi coach Kinnah Phiri says his side have an ‘unfinished business’ against Ghana in Saturday’s decisive 2013 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
The Flames must offset a 2-0 deficit from the first leg in Lilongwe to pick one of the 15 slots up for grabs this weekend on the continent.
Phiri is confident they make a piece of history by denying Ghana qualification to next year’s finals in South Africa.
“We know they have a two-goal lead and that they have many experienced players,” Phiri said.
“But we we’ll have to perform at out absolute best to get a result against them and we believe we can do that.”
Malawi were among the finalists at the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations in Angola.

THIS IS COACH IS VERY INTERESTING TO FOLLOW YOUR BACK IS AGAINST THE WALL AND STILL YABING ABOUT HIS TEAM SCORING AGAINST THE GHANA TEAM. I THINK HE’S GOING TO USE BLACK MAGIC TO TIE THE GHANA PLAYERS DOWN WHEN THE GAME STARTS. LET THE PITCH DO THE TALKING MR COACH OF MALAWI.
He knows they will not win, but what kind of coach will he be if he surrenders before the match is played.. He knows they don’t stand a chance.. this will be a warm-up exercise the STARS for upcoming games.. Anyway, I can’t wait to see Atsu during the World Cup.. OMG
This coach is hyping the match paaaa!
Between Ghana and Malawi
matches played: 5
wins for Ghana: 4
Draws : 1
Goals for Ghana: 16
Goals for Malawi: 0
so wtf is he talking about.
Pray you’ll be able to score 1 in the 1-4 trashing.
Noisy coach
I wonder what is wrong with this coach. Your country have not even scored a single goal against Ghana in our previous meetings yet you are dreaming of scoring 3 unanswered goals. That will be interesting to see but my advice is he should be careful not to be battered by many goals. The field will decide not mouth mouth.
