Majeed Waris shrugs off shoulder injury to make Valenciennes trip to Lille

Valenciennes coach Ariel Jacobs has named fit-again striker Abdul Majeed Waris in his 19-man squad to face Lille on Saturday in the French Ligue 1.

The Ghana international picked up a shoulder injury when he scored in last week’s 2-1 defeat at home to Olympique Lyon.

Waris has declared fit and needed to aid their fight to escape relegation this term.

The 22-year-old has scored nine goals in 12 Ligue 1 appearances his joining from Spartak Moscow this January.
