Ghana striker Abdul Majeed Waris was presented with the Swedish top-flight league's top scorer award on Monday night.

The 21-year-old emerged top scorer of the league after scoring 23 goals from 29 games.

Organisers of the Swedish top flight league handed the golden shoe award to the Black Stars striker in a short ceremony in Goteborg on Monday.

"I received the award on Monday and I feel very elated," Waris told Ghanasoccernet.com

A grand award will be held on November 12 where the former Right to Dream Academy youngster will be honoured for his achievements during the 2012 season.

Waris has become the first Ghanaian player to win the goalking crown in a top flight European league with more 20 goals.
