The maiden corporate football league in Ghana has kicked off at the Lizzy Sports Complex in Accra.
The league which consists of twelve teams drawn from various corporate institutions in Ghana is aimed at fostering strong relations between the participating institutions.
The tournament whch is being sponsored by electronic manufacturing giants Samsung will span an 11-week period with six 7-aside matches played every weekend.
Former Ghana FA boss Alhaji MND Jawula in opening the tournament on Friday applauded the initiative while urging more teams come on board for the next edition.
“I am very excited at this initiative which I believe has been long in coming,” he said.
“I look forward to seeing this event grow into a huge success to ensure more teams come on board for the next edition.”
The first game of the competition saw the Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG) wallop Samsung by 7-2.
