Egyptian side Al Ahly are close to signing Ghanaian striker Mahatma Otoo who currently plays for Ghana Premier League club Hearts of Oak.

The Cairo giants will land the 20-year-old player on a permanent basis, although negotiations about contract length are still ongoing.
Otoo, who previously played on loan for Tunisia’s Esperance in 2010, made only one appearance with the Ghanaian senior national football team.
Otoo began his career in 2008 at 16 years old with Ghanaian club Sporting Saint Mirren, before joining Hearts of Oak one year later.
Ahly’s new technical staff, headed by coach Hossam El-Badry, is reportedly trying to strengthen the team’s frontline amid rumours that the Brazilian striker forward is on his way out.

Is my wish that you get a lucrative/juicy deal to be able to earn something for a living. but hey Egypt, u dare not. u will get money but your football carrier will be jopardised. how many ghanaian players have excelled on the egyptian land in terms of football, most especially strikers. even this season your form wasn’t that superp. it will serve you good if you play 1-2 seasons more b4 you out of the country. You are a good player by all standard, no doubt about that but hey boy relax. GSN, mahatma 20years…hmmmmm….m not his parents but i have my doubt. may be in his mid 20yrs

  2. Once-a-phobian says:

This busy for nothing player should rather concentrate playing for phobia for two more seasons. He should not forget that he is not even ripe to play for Medeama, B, Chelsea or Kotoko. He should not forget that, he was a constant bench warmer @ Esperance of Tunisia’s youth team.

  3. abel avis says:

  4. BRAFII says:

lyk i always say dis guy is de non serious player i av ever seen……flop in tunis non u wanna flop in cairo. hahahahahaha stupid move

  5. Joe Ansah says:

Guys this is not the time to rain insults on the boy. If the Egyptians want him please allow him to go. How much at all do u pay these players. U said he is not a good player n yet he has scored ten goals this season. Things did not go well for the club n I can understand that, but to me he did his best for the club. Do u also know that Uriah is moving to Blackpool, his deal is almost through. I learnt he will be leaving for medicals after the FA cup.

  6. GH FUO, THINK BIG!!! says:

HE IS BETTER OFF GOING TO SOUTH AFRICA. EGYPT LIKE I KEEP SAYING IS NO PLACE FOR A YOUNG, TALENTED PLAYER FROM GH. THEY WILL FRUSTRATE N DELAY U. I JUST HOPE HE DOSENT GET INJURED. INSTEAD OF STAYING WITH HEARTS, WINNING THE FA CUP AND GOING TO AFRICA, U ARE RUSHING YOURSELF TO GO TO EGYPT. HOW MANY FOREIGNERS DO U SEE PLAYING FOR AHLY?
