Advanced tickets for Ghana’s 2014 World Cup qualifier against Sudan have gone on sale in Kumasi 24 hours before the match with huge interest from locals.
This is the first time in many years that the country has opted to sell the tickets ahead of the game which is seen as a move that will boost massive support for the Black Stars.
But the decision is in line with FIFA regulations which has forced the Ghana FA and the National Sports Authority to sell advance tickets to avoid mad rush on Sunday.
A lot of supporters are put off by the long queues for purchasing tickets on match days but the the sale of tickets early will make people buy it in advance without waiting in the scorching sun to get the match tickets.
There are various designated sales points including the main gate of the stadium, radio stations, restaurants and some selected filling stations.
The Black Stars will be seeking a massive win against the Nile Crocodile to put them in serious contention for the sole ticket for the crucial play-offs.
