The Local Black Stars' friendly against Libya has been called off

The Ghana CHAN team's international friendly against Libya has been postponed over venue disagreement, Ghanasoccernet.com can confirm.

The Local Black Stars were billed to face the North Africans next week in Tripoli in preparation for next year's CHAN tournament in South Africa.

But the organisers have failed to reach an agreement with the host - Libya over the match venue.

The match organisers want the game to be played in neighbouring Tunisia but the Greens feel the politic situation in Tunisia is equally worst so then the game must be staged on home soil.

However, Ghana officials do not feel secure travelling to the troubled oil-rich country and have communicated their decision to the organisers.

“We are still in the planning stage of the game and right now we have not concluded on the actual date for the match," CHAN Management Committee Chairman Fred Crentsil told Kumasi-based Metro FM.

Ghana reached the 2014 CHAN finals without kicking a ball as Benin pulled out of the qualifiers.
