Local Black Stars coach Maxwell Konadu shows promising prospects at CHAN

Maxwell Konadu’s quarter-final qualification feat at the 2014 African Nations Championship is a testimony of the coach’s growing credentials.

The ex-Ghana international is taking charge of his first major assignment as a team national team head coach and has hugely impressively.

Konadu earned a draw against Libya which is coached by Spain’s 1994 and 1998 World Cup coach Javier Clemente.

The 1992 Olympian also beat Ethiopia who are coached by the 62-year-old Sewnet Bishaw.

Konadu won the Ghana Premier League with Asante Kotoko two season ago but resigned after he was named assistant coach of the senior national team.

He had a successful career as a player with Asante Kotoko, Tunisian side CS Sfaxien and Portuguese sides Beira Mar, Unaio Leiria.
