It’s Transfer Deadline Day in Europe and it’s now or never for several Ghanaian players and other stars seeking moves before the window slams tonight.

14:55 – Still no word on any club interested in John Mensah. The defender wants to play at the World Cup but there is no news of any club ready to sign him after Kotoko rejected a report of the defender joining their club as false.

14:50: Derek Boateng was seeking a move away from Fulham but it doens’t look like any club has sealed a deal for him yet. If he stays at Fulham his World Cup place is at risk.

14:07 – Michael Helegbe (Midfielder, Ghana) could join a South African club before midnight, according to MTNFootball.com.
The midfielder has been a pillar in Ghana’s set-up during CHAN and his performances in the tournament have caught the eyes of some top PSL teams.Helegbe could follow a well-worn path of Ghanaians that have come to the PSL recently, such as Jonathan Mensah (Free State Stars), Mohammed Awal (Maritburg United) and Fatau Dauda (Orland Pirates).

13:55 – Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Awal-Issah has threatened to quit the South Africa club AmaZulu after returning to Ghana without the KwaZulu-Natal outfit’s permission.

13:20: Black Stars midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong has left English Premier League side Arsenal and joined English second tier side Barnsley in a bid to boost chances of making Ghana’s World Cup squad in June.

13:00: Ghanaian midfielder Prince Boateng has completed a move to Scottish side Patrick Thistle. He arrives at Patrick Thistle on a loan deal.

12:45: Black Stars hopeful Razak Nuhu has joined Cypriot club Appollon Limassol after leaving Norwegian side Stromsgodset. The deal will leave him with the chance of fighting for a place at the left-back of the Black Stars.

11:20: CONFIRMED – Ghanaian duo of Matthew Amoah and Kwame Quansah will not be sold by Dutch side Heracles by midnight. Their futures will be decided later in May, GHANAsoccernet.com exclusively reveal this.

    I don’t know what went into Emmanuel Frimpong’s move but I believe that is quite backward.He could have moved to some of the middle table clubs.
