Ten-man Ghana pulled off remarkable achievement by defying an intimidating home crowd to defeat Gabon 4-1 in Libreville on Saturday playing to seal qualification to the 2015 African Youth Championship to be held in Senegal early next year.

There were huge fears among Ghana fans that the Black Satellites will fall to the Gabonese in the return leg of the final qualifier after being held to a goalless draw in the first-leg in Accra two weeks ago.

However, the Ghana U20 player defied the cynics and critics to put up a display that would delight both their friends and haters alike to seal qualification for the competition.

Talented midfielder Asiedu Attobrah opened the scoring early on in the first half and Yaw Yeboah of Right to Dream made it 2-0 to end the first half.

After the break, Sellas Tetteh’s charges were in still in firm control and added the third through Samuel Afful.

Gabon reduced the deficit from the spot which resulted in the sending off of midfielder Kofi Yeboah.

Prosper Kassim round up the team’s commanding display with the fourth goal.

Ghana will join six others from the qualifiers and hosts Senegal for the 2015 African Youth Championship.
