Lions reject AshGold double bid for striker Morrison
AshGold will make a third attempt to sign striker Bernard Morrison

AshGold would tempt Heart of Lions with a third bid for striker Bernard Morrison after the Miners had a second bid rejected.

Morrison glittered at the second half of last season scoring eight goals to help the Giant Killers to survive relegation.

AshGold are on the transfer market in search of a replacement for Yakubu Mohammed who has left the club to join South African side Maritzburg United.

But the Miners have had two bids turned down by Lions as they seek to rebuild their team for next season's campaign.

AshGold have the financial clouts to favourably challenge Kotoko and Berekum Chelsea for the striker and are set to make a third bid.

However Lions President Victor Ahiakpor has told the club's management not to sell the forward.
