Lesotho assistant coach Lehlohonolo Thotanyana says his team paid for their poor tactical approach against Ghana in the 2014 World Cup qualifier.
The Crocodiles suffered a 7-0 mauling at the Baba Yara Stadium on Friday night in their opening Group D match.
”Ghana is a very good team and we didn’t cope with many aspects of the game and they punished us,” Thotanyana said in a post match interview.
“In defence and attack we didn’t pose any threat to them. We tried to defend earlier in the game but we cracked and they scored goals.”
Lesotho had planned to put up a defensive display but that was neutralized by a marauding Black Stars.
”We tried to defend early on but it wasn’t working and so we had to change tactics. As you saw, even after the match resumed after the halt, we were more comfortable on the ball.”

This young Black Stars team is different. Gone are the days when we score one and sit back to defend it. This time, when we score one, we smell blood and grow wild. We attack ruthlessly for more goals. Abukari said it all; “Goal na m’afefer”. Period.
The generation and the one to follow are so powerfull and skillful the just want to score goals even those u15 are following the trend
I posted on this site b4 only if u guys will remember. Let these teams know that they cannot hang with us..I know is Lesotho but more is yet to come…
