Ghana defender Lee Addy is on his way to join Serbian side Red Star Belgrade, Ghanasoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The Bechem Chelsea center-back impressed in South Africa with the Black Stars when the team reached the quarter-finals.

Bechem Chelsea officials are set to finalise the deal which will see the 20-year-old sign a two-year move to the Eastern European side.

Both parties have been tight-lipped on the sum involved but it is speculated that a fee around 300,000 euros is involved.

may God save Ghanasoccer, how on earth will you sell this players with this amount?

  2. Abrantie - In Da House says:

That is the only reason why Milo is looking down on active players, so he could fix his players he wants to sell out of the country. The guy is making some big money in Ghana with his agent together, thats why he is taking the peanuts from the GFA although many countries are offering him 3-5 times what the GFA is offering him.
He will at least send them to serbia if no other country wants them.

  5. swissa says:

Nik I agree with what you’re saying. Who ever was impressed by lee Addy’s skills can only be impressed by a move to red star belgrad. As for me I was more gutted than impressed. Ghanasuckah net journalists need to take real journalism classes instead of writing crap.
i’m still hoping Addy will improve wherever he is going. Best of Luck.

  17. Abrantie - In Da House says:

@ dipole,col-oh….. you seem to have a very big “deep hole” in your head right? “Oh”, let me “cool” down 4 you. It’s not your fault, it is rather the hole in that head of yours.
What was question once more? Ah, “so wats wrong with a coach helping or projecting a best defender in our local league to find himelf a team?”
First of all, Milo is not an ordinary coach but our national team coach. His interest in marketing players, will not allow him to select the right players for the blackstars, because, he will rather try to expose his players to the market, than selecting the right guys for the team. Believe me, I know some guys will say he took us to the 1/4 finals of the WC bla bla bla, bla bla bla, with these players. Yeah, he did that, and I am not saying the coach is not good…but have you blind guys ever asked yourselves, what would have happened, if the coach had taken inform players to WC than the bench warmers he is trying to expose so he could make his big time money?
I personally think, we would have been World Champions and not Spain. This coach wil however for on or two reasons known by some of us, will continue to fix the players he wants to market than doing the right thing for the BS and Ghana.

  18. THE----POSSE says:

Abrantie – In Da House WAKASA. SAY IT AGAIAN.

  19. Dzooo SFM says:

I’am a member of that Serbian Football Mafia hahah! Lee Addy welcome to Red Star!

  20. Abedi says:

He was the best defender in Local league, so he deserve to try be even better by playing in europe. Serbian league is better every year and if he can play there he can play in some even better league in 2-3 years. Serbian style is based on defense so he will learn something there for sure. Red Star brought some very good players this year but late in transfer window. So i expect they play some bigger role in continental competition next season. And of course Lee Ady to be leader if their defense.

  21. Abedi says:

Yeah and i am sure that is the biggest club in East Europe with incredible fans http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nfZRXeinYe4

  22. djuka says:

  24. Bapro mafia says:

Football in Serbia is property of Proba De Foc mafia also known as Bapro.

  25. kof123 says:

jealousy is the only reason why gh is more than 50 years but still what we are! instead of you fools supporting one of your kind you go all the way just to bring him down!if he is even 100 years old and is the worse player you have ever met, what will you loose trying to support him just for the reason that he is from ghana and that if he succeed he will bring honour to the whole nation ? start growing up and stop hiding in cheap internet cafes just to disrespect people who are working hard to go places! fools!

  26. drmrph says:

Dobrodosao Lee! Nadam se da ce opravdati ocekivanja svih nas. Bices nas Bruce Lee :D
Welcome Lee! I hope that will justify the expectations of all of us. You will be our Bruce Lee :D Cheers from Serbia! —DS 1989—

  27. Abrantie - In Da House says:

@ kof123…By your deeds, you shall be judged!! Impatient is the junior brother of stupidity. Why rain insults, if you could also bring your point clearer without the insults?
Anyway, learn to spell your name b4 you come here the next time. “Kofi” is the name not “kof”, mr self aclaimed wise man. hahahahaha!!

  28. Legion Djibouti says:

Welcome to the greatest Club in South-East Europe with the best Supporters in whole Europe.

  29. Maxwell Johnson says:

    300 Euros???

  30. Red Star supporter says:

There are literally thousands of professional football clubs in Europe, but only 21 club has made it to be European Champion in the history of the competition. Red Star Belgrade is one of them.

There are tens of thousands of professional football clubs in the World, but just a few dozens succeeded to win the International Cup and become World Champion. Red Star Belgrade is one of them.

Although it may have been some time since because we have struggled in our recent past due to political end economical turmoils in the region, we are now rising again and our club has great ambitions for the near future. Lee Addy is fitting perfectly in those plans, even more so Rajevac himself appraised and commended him to Red Star managerial staff. So I honestly believe we have signed a very good player, and Lee Addy has made the right choice and the right step forward with regard to his professional career.

Lee Addy, you are most welcome to Belgrade!

Best regards to Ghana from Serbia!

  31. Lee Addy says:

they r doing everything to convince ghanaians that lee addy is good and its not working. 300 euros for best ghanaian defender, this really sound funny, the guy is not good but they r trying to push him so that people will forget about our big stars. And those of u who are saying that lee addy did well at south africa, maybe you guys didnt watch the tournament, the guy is not good.

  32. BBRS says:

It is funny to read these comments from people from Ghana from back in August, now less then 3 months later it is clear that Lee Addy is by far the best player in Red Star (all the fans think that), and he is definitely best defender in Serbia

He will most porbably go to Italy, Spain or England next season

  33. Vuk says:

WOOOOOW HE IS EXELENT PLAYER!!!!!FOR FEW YEARS HE WILL BE COST 10 000 000 EUROS OR MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  34. Vuk says:

    THE POSE,SERBIA ISN’T MAFIA COUNTRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
