Posted On Tuesday, 3rd January 2012

Lee Addy has arrived in China to seal his move to Daelin Aerbin

Ghana defender Lee Addy has arrived in China to seal his move with top-flight side Daelin Aerbin, MTNFootball.com can exclusively reveal.

The 21-year-old, who plays for Serbian giants Red Star, will undergo a medical on Tuesday before he seals the move.

Addy will sign a three-year contract if both parties agree a deal.

Cash-strapped Serbian giants opted to sell their versatile Ghanaian for $2.2m, which was the highest price they got for their biggest talent.

There was interest from Ukrainian side Dynamo Kiev but they were willing to pay only $1.5m.

Red Star must sell their two important players to be able to offset their mounting debt including $300,000 to Ghanaian side Berekum Chelsea.

Addy’s former club Berekum Chelsea will get 30 percent of his transfer per the agreement that exists between Red Star and the Ghanaian champions.

Addy is expected back in Accra by Thursday to join Ghana’s Africa Cup of Nations team ahead of their camping in Rustenburg, South Africa which begins on 7 January.

Addy has played 13 out of the 15 matches for Red Star Belgrade and has two years left on his contract.
