Lee Addy completes move to Chinese club Daelin Aerbin

Ghana defender Lee Addy has completed a three-year deal with newly-promoted Chinese Super League side Daelin Aerbin. 

The 21-year-old was presented to the media on Wednesday after passing a medical.

The versatile defender moves from Serbian giants Red Star Belgrade for a transfer fee of  $2.2m.

There was interest from Ukrainian side Dynamo Kiev but they were willing to pay only $1.5m.

Addy's former club Berekum Chelsea will get 30 percent of his transfer per the agreement that exists between Red Star and the Ghanaian champions.

He is expected back in Accra by Thursday to join Ghana's Africa Cup of Nations team ahead of their camping in Rustenburg, South Africa which begins on 7 January.

"I think this is a very cordial and harmonious atmosphere. I am very pleased to be a player of Dalian Aerbin," Addy said.

"I want to Dalian to achieve better results in the new season. I will put in my energy to get the best for the club.

"Also permit me to thank the chairman Li Ming for giving me the opportunity to showcase my skills."

Addy played 13 out of the 15 matches for Red Star Belgrade and had two years left on his contract.
