Lee Addy is confident about making Ghana’s World Cup squad

Ghana defender Lee Addy claims he’s 99% certain sure of making the country’s 2014 World Cup squad.

The Dynamo Zagreb defender did not feature in the qualifying campaign due to intense competition at the left-back role.

However the 23-year-old versatile defender is confident of making Kwesi Appiah’s final squad to Brazil following his stellar performances for his Croatian side.

“I can say that I am 99 percent sure that I will travel with Ghana to the World Cup in Brazil,” he is quoted by Jutarnji.

“When I was on holiday in Ghana, I spoke with the coach. He told me to continue my performances and I am a legitimate candidate for Brazil.

“They know in Ghana that Dynamo Zagreb is a big club and that when you play at this club you deserve a place in the World Cup squad.”

Addy recently revealed while on holiday in his native country that he will easily mark out Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo if he makes the final squad to the South American county.

The former Red Star Belgrade defender last played for the Africans China two years ago.

Hahaha can’t stop laughing ooo! Anyway I just spoke to prince of woes the Tagoe and he said the same of making it to Brasil due to virtus international connection which has led to the imposition and special preference for setting players. Seriously I prefer two lefted Lee Addy to somalian frame Afful, though he used to stress olele waaa lol

@real sabacious: you comment is both racist and tribalistic. What is the point in referring to Afful as “somalian frame Afful?” some of you guys are more racist than the people you always claim to be racist!

He was soppose to step into the shoesof John Mensah but he failed not to talk of playing at the left back. You today counting on luck. Well maybe u have been assured by the manager or and the technical handlers of the team.

Did the story say Lee Addy is 23? OMG… This guy was my mate at Police Academy JHS at Tesano in the 90s. So how old was he when we graduated from JHS in 97? Someone should please help me with the maths…. I will be happy if he makes the squad but I doubt it.

  6. Obiba says:

Mr./Madam Web Administrator, why did you guys delete my earlier comments? Did I insult or used any inappropriate language? I only sought to questioned his (Lee Addy) age because I sat in the same class (JHS) with him for 3 years. You guys are just a bunch of cowards who hates the truth. You can delete this one too….
