ATTN: EMMANUEL GYIMAH

Dear Sir,

RE: TEMPORARY RESIGNATION FROM INTERNATIONAL SOCCER

I write to formally communicate to you my decision to withdraw my services temporarily from the senior national team, the Black Stars.

The reasons for my decision, although personal, I believe, would eventually inure to the benefit of the Black Stars, the reason being that in this period of my temporary absence I intend not only to work hard in my club as a young player so I can obtain the quality, experience and stature necessary for a call up to play in the national team, but also ensure that my membership of the national team when I soon come out of my temporary resignation endures in a more secure manner so as to avoid the situation where I am unsure as to when my services are required for the national team.

The point I have just made is vindicated by the fact that although on every occasion that I have had the opportunity to play for my nation I have played to the best of my ability and served my nation with commitment, it appears that my efforts have not impressed the management team of the senior national team.

The reason is that in the position for which my services are required for the national team, I have been ranked way behind several players as not to merit a place in the team on occasions when it mattered.

My observation comes against the backdrop of the fact that I was considered not good enough to play for the national team even at a time when my club believed I was doing very well and honoured with player of the month for my club.

In this regard, I have decided that I need to work harder especially in my club in the hope that I can convince the management team of the Black Stars in the very near future by the grace of the Almighty that my efforts merit a place in the national team, not just occasionally or sporadically but more permanently in so far as I still actively play football.

I wish my colleagues in the team all the best and hereby affirm my commitment to my beloved country the Republic of Ghana and pledge to always faithfully and dutifully serve the nation to the best of my ability when I return.

I also assure the fans of my love for them and affirm to them that I am as always committed to all matters involving the national team.

Thank you

JORDAN AYEW

I knew this was comin.i blame the stupid gfa for this.

  2. old man says:

How can you withdraw from a team that have not selected you, its like quitting your job after you were fired!… it doesn’t change the fact you were fired!

Jordan obviously has the talent to play for the Black Stars but is not humble like a small boy to the GFA fat men…. hence the lack of love from GFA.

Or is it just who he agent is….

  3. Viper says:

Asemooo,20 year old and quits the national side(temporarily)does he know how many up and coming and promising players coming through?I don’t blame him but who ever advises him.e funny sef today any bits and bob player sef have audacity..wow

  4. dede says:

Very good decision, now Nyatakyi and his gang can go to hell.as for A.A he is like a robot that is being control by his masters.Nyatakyi and his corrupt gang will destroy our dear B.S….GFA corruption attitude will be expose very soon.every good and sensible player will retire from B.S….very soon Munari and others too will drop their resignatino letter to that stpid GFA

  5. Askantwi says:

You are not even yet a full fledge Black Star member, and you want to dictate to gfa already? Unbelievable!

  6. Ekow says:

I knew this was coming as well. The GFA are ****ing stupid. They beg for players that are not committed like Kevin Prince Boateng who don’t even care about Ghana and use Ghana like how a man uses a loose chick. Just for his own gain. This is bloody disgraceful.

The real people with potential that have Ghana at heart are being ignored. Why play Gyan upfront as a lone striker when Jordan Ayew can support him? The GFA’s decisions are crap.
How can you choose players from Ghanaian Football League and Lower Leagues over top players with experience that play for Marseille? No sense.

Truly speaking, these Ayew boys could have made it into the French National Side which could have helped build up their own careers. Quite similar to how Danny Welbeck chose to play for England over Ghana, but they chose Ghana because they are not greedy and actually care about Ghana. They acknowledge that Ghana is their nation and they have so much love for Ghana.

Me myself, I was born and raised in the UK but like them would always represent Ghana if I had the opportunity. Nobody is perfect but for the FA to judge players like the way they did and exclude such talent is disgraceful and is not acceptable. This is not only a decision that affects them but the board is representing the citizens of the country. We expect them to govern the football appropriately.

I don’t know the full story, there is possibly stuff that has happened behind the scene. It’s not right for me to judge, but it seems to me as if the problem behind this is a disciplinary problem. I guess the GFA want loyal footballers, which is fine but this has to be addressed is a much better manner.

The Ghanaian FA arrange trips using the Ghanaian citizen’s tax money to fly around to meet stubborn players like Kevin Prince Boateng. A foolish arrogant tattoo’d bastard who only cares about his own gain. I guarantee that if Kevin Prince Boateng does decide to come back to the Ghana Squad, it will be just in time for the world cup 2014. For his own gain, recognition and to fulfill his own dreams.
When Kwesi Appiah visited Italy to meet him at the AC Milan camp, he fled like a Criminal running from the police despite knowing that Kwesi made that effort to meet him. What saddens me is that they still accept Kevin and they still want him back. Desperate like a bunch of golddiggers.

Jordan Ayew is quality. I know people that follow ligue 1 who have alerted me of his potential. Some say he’s even better then his brother Dede. Yet when it comes to a true baller like Jordan Ayew, the Ghanaian FA will treat him like he’s a kid. Ghanaian Tradition doesn’t like to give the younger generation a fair say. It’s not good at all and judging from the progress of how Ghana is performing. It’s very small.

Ghana has a lot of potential and uprising players, we all know that. But the recent AFCON 2013. We were missing so many key players who had the experience to lead us. You have to ask the GFA Why? When a European team plays, they always field their first team squad, they are fool around and this is what puts them ahead of us. We take stupid chances and always **** up.

  7. Dr Who says:

The BS is bigger than any player so whoever is not ready to get on board can get out.

    • Experience Coach says:

Dr Who or what you call yourself don’t be stupid. I think GFA needs a shakeup for the sake of Ghanaian football. If that does not happen sooner, then Ghana may be heading for a disaster. Nantakyi as well as the coach must be replaced to boost freshness and morale in camp for players.

  8. vim says:

FOOL!! you want to tell us what to do eh? FUCK YOU! we would rather nt have u in our team than have u dictatin to us…FOOLISH BOY! who cares bout ur punk ass quality? go to marseille n stay there….if it evn means we nt goin to the world cup! BUULU!

    • Yaw says:

This is a matter of national interest folks. We shouldn’t play sentiment with it brothers. The insults won’t help at this time. Remember our team is dying and the leaders are there playing politics with the team. We need these boys on board no matter what and therefore, steps should be taken to ensure all of them return to the team for us to qualify to the world cup. At the afcon, ghana were lucky through the bias officiating of some refrees else we would not have gotten to where we reached. Nyantakyi, Stars is not your property it belongs to Ghana and Ghanaians for that matter. H.E.Prez Mahama pls intervene. I care.

  9. nana says:

Who was the first coach to invite Jordan Ayew into the Black Stars team,is it Akwasi Appiah?

  10. gentle john says:

This is very good decision and i support them 100%,Kwesi Nyantakyi and his gang with the incompetent Kwesi Appiah are destroying the Black Stars and i am not sure we will qualify for the World Cup

  11. ike says:

Please note that some players do well at club levels but when they are called to the National Team they mess up! So should they be called again because they are doing well at their various clubs? This measurement is the problem with players. You can see that a lot of players were given the chance to play in the BS during the recent build up to AFCON. Some did not impress though they were doing well in their clubs. Dede for once has not disappointed but that must not get him swollen headed and angry when substituted because sometimes at a stage in a match you will see that you are not doing well may be due to some slight injury that will necessitate you being substituted. It is painful though but the coach, the technical team, and even spectators can see when a player is off colour on the pitch and needs to be changed. If our players can take it easy when substituted that will do them a great deal of good because as we have seen on several occasions some players are injured seriously even during injury time! Who knows being substituted will be saving you. Take it easy boys!!

  12. Kobby says:

Much as I disagreed with Akwasi Appiah on his decision to drop Jordan when it was very evident that he was on fire for Marseille I don’t think this kind of resignation is in good taste. The fact that Ghanaian football fans adore a particular player at a particular point in time does not mean there aren’t players who can offer similar or probably better services to the nation. When we had problems with Sulley Muntari, it was an opportunity for Dede at that time to proof his worth and he did it so well that Ghanaians quickly forgot of the former and never felt his absence. Through Essien’s absence we discovered Agyemang Badu. Stephen Appiah had to leave the scene and Kwadwo Asamoah was a revelation at Angola 2010. When Dede goes, Christian Atsu or someone else can soon be groomed to fill his place. Players will come and gone but Black Stars will remain so let’s make sure no individual player take the whole team or nation to ransom.

I also think that it high time Kwesi Nyantakyi and his management sat up and paid crucial attention to the constitution of the Black Stars if we want the current state of trophy-lessness to change. FA, SIT UP and CHANGE YOUR WAYS!!!

  13. deku emmanuel says:

Does it take de management’s conviction for a player to b invited? Childish excuse

  14. Sam says:

Deku, what english is that, bro i dont understand that english.

I think is realy stupid for him to make this decision because first of all u dont impress when u play for the black stars, stop making ur self like u are super star.
