Ex-Ghana midfielder Laryea Kingston believes his return to the Premier League will spark the excitement lost.

Kinston has returned to the local league to play for Hearts of Oak after failed stints in Europe.

The 31 year old midfielder has agreed an 18 month deal with his former club.

''My presence in the league is going to generate a lot of interest I think it is important for Ghanaians to appreciate what we have,'' the former Heart of Midlothian playe told Joy Sports

"I will work hard for the team on and off the pitch I hope to impart the team with the experience gained outside.''

Kingston has played in Russia, Israel and Scotland.

The second half of the Ghana Premier League resumes on 19 February.
