Laryea Kingston insists pressure remains on Kotoko ahead of Super Clash

Hearts midfielder Laryea Kingston believes the pressure will be on Asante Kotoko ahead of their ‘El Classico’ clash on November 18.

The 31-year-old returned from suspension to help the capital-based end the strings of defeats in the top flight by leaving it late to beat Real Tamale United 3-2 on Sunday.

Hearts had gone three matches without success and were desperate for the maximum points after they parted ways with head coach CK Akunnor.

But they had to dig deep to pick the three points at the Accra sports stadium after going down 2-1 midway through the second half.

Hearts will next tackle Kotoko in the biggest match of the season at the Baba Yara stadium on November 18 and the former Vitese Arheim midfielder says pressure will be on the homeside to continue their fine form.

“The game against Kotoko will be tough but I believe the pressure will be on them,” Kingston said

“Matches involving Hearts and Kotoko are always uncompromising and so the best team on the day will win.

“But we have two weeks to prepare for this game and I believe we will be ready for the battle.”

The defending champions have hit the ground running after a difficult start to the season.

They recorded their second straight win of the season after a hard-fought 1-0 win over league leaders Medeama to move into the top-four.
