Ex-Ghana international Laryea Kingson has ruled out playing for any local club.

Kingson re-joined his boyhood club Hearts two years ago but left feeling bitter following a frosty relationship with the club.

The 33-year-old has vowed never to play for any of the local sides in Ghana.

“I will never in my life again play for any club in Ghana. I will continue to support Hearts of Oak but I am done with them. Never will I play in Ghana league again,” Kingston said.

“If you consider Brazil they encourage returnees. See Fred, Ronaldinho, Pato, Luis Fabiano and others. That cannot be said of Ghana.

“There is a vast difference comparing America where I will play to Ghana. There I will get my peace of mind to play without disturbances.”

Kingson has claimed he is closing in on a move to American League soccer side Phoenix FC.
