Jonathan Mensah has lamented Evian TG's momentary loss of concentration in Saturday's French Ligue 1 draw with Reims at home.
The Ghana international centre-back put Evian in front on 75 minutes with a beautiful goal.
But his teammates went to sleep and allowed Reims to strike a late late equalizer through Togo international Floyd Ayite.
Mensah could not celebrate his first goal in the French top-flight since joining Evian from Spanish side Granada two seasons ago.
"We are disappointed because we really wanted to win tonight . It's hard to concede a goal at that time. It hurts the heart. We were not focused," Mensah said in a post-match interview.
"My goal? It is beautiful, but I do not think too much. We will get back to work for Wednesday's game. The best answer will be to win this game. "
