Ghana Football Association President Kwesi Nyantakyi has confirmed that junior national team coaches are owed salaries.

All the coaches who were interviewed and handed jobs in 2012 have not been duly rewarded for their services because the Ghana federation has struggled to raise funds.

Technical teams for seven national teams –four for male and three for female-were constituted by payment has been a problem.

Nyantakyi told Allsports.com.gh: "We took that decision after discussion with the minister at the time and our hope was to use sponsors' funds to do that. We've paid some but the payment is not up to date I must admit because of lack of adequate resources to effect payment up to date.

"Along the line we also modified the payment regime and thought that we should link it to matches and camping so that when they (coaches) come to camp the budget will include the salary over the period.

“Some of them were approved but they were not disbursed to the coaches regrettably, so it is something that is worrying all of us and we are looking at alternative ways to get money to pay the coaches.'
