Kwesi Appiah hails 'tactical' Ghana players after Egypt win
Ghana thrashed Egypt 6-1 in a World Cup play-off

Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah praised the tactical disposition of his team after they hammered Egypt in a 2014 World Cup play-off on Tuesday.

The Black Stars overwhelmed the Pharaohs 6-1 in the first leg in Kumasi to virtually set their way to Brazil next year.

Appiah has paid glowing tribute to the players who adhered to instructions to hand the sucker punch to the North African giants.

'Tactically the boys played well. We relied on counter attack because we notice their central defence and entire defence was not good and i knew if my players had a good day, there was no way Egypt could stop us". he said

Egypt are hoping to end a 23-year wait for an appearance at the World Cup and must score five unanswered goals against the Black Stars to have any chance of qualifying to Brazil 2014.
