Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah says he feel proud of the achievement of his second-in-command Maxwell Konadu after he guided the home-based Stars to reach the CHAN final.

The Ghanaians produced a solid defensive display to dispatch off West African rivals Nigeria 4-1 on penalties to set-up a final showdown against Libya in Cape Town on Saturday.

The Black Stars did well to overcome Kwabena Adusei’s 64th minute red card to hold the Super Eagles to a 0-0 draw after extra-time.

Konadu, has come in for massive praise for his tactical disposition and his boss Kwesi Appiah has revealed he feels proud of his countryman.

“I feel very proud of what he has done with this team,” Appiah said

“He deserves commendation because people said many things about this team but continues to prove people wrong.”

Ghana will contest Libya for the second time in the tournament for the ultimate prize on Saturday.
