Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah is delighted his players are now earning playing time abroad as he readies to name his squad for 2014 Brazil World Cup finals.
During the January transfer window, some World Cup-bound players changed clubs in search of regular game time and that seems to be coming to fruition.
Defender Samuel Inkoom has been a regular for Greek top-flight side Platanias since joining them on a six-month loan spell.
Striker Jordan Ayew is also on loan at Sochaux from Marseille and has been a starter.
Abdul Majeed Waris has scored two goals for Valenciennes since joining from Russian side Spartak Moscow on loan.
Experienced midfielder Michael Essien was down the pecking order at Chelsea and signed a permanent deal with AC Milan.
He was handed his full debut on Sunday in Milan’s 3-1 defeat at Napoli in the Serie A.
“I am happy with the loan moves made by the players. It helps the players and us too,†Appiah told Asempa FM.
“I have always said that if you (player) have a team, you have a chance of playing at the World Cup and the good thing is that you are playing day-in-day-out and that boosts your confidence.
“I am happy for Michael Essien, Jordan Ayew, Samuel Inkoom and Abdul Majeed Waris because they are now playing.
“If everybody has a club and playing it helps.â€
Ghana will play Montenegro on 5 March in a pre-World Cup friendly.
