Kwarasey promises to improve his performance

Ghana goalkeeper Adam Larsen Kwarasey has admitted he must improve his game at the Africa Cup of Nations.

The debutant has not conceded a goal in two matches but says he is not satisfied with his displays at the tournament.

"I will only improve throughout the tournament because I'm kind of new to African football, but it's good we don't concede goals. Like I said, I'm not happy with my performance but I will improve," Kwarasey said.

After Ghana's 2-0 win over Mali on Saturday, the Norway-born ‘keeper was criticised for his poor vision and timing.

The Stromsgodest first choice minder admitted his critics were right on his performance.

"Today was the set-piece and the area balls. We played against a physical side so it was a bit difficult and they came with a lot of power,'' he added.

"The rest is not a problem, but today it was a lot of set pieces so I should have done better."

The 24-year-old was cleared by Fifa to play for the four-time African champions in June last year.

He made his debut against Swaziland in a 2-0 win in the 2012 Nations Cup qualifiers in Accra.
