Kwame Quansah gives away Heracles captaincy

Goalkeeper Remko Pasveer has been named captain of Dutch club Heracles following Kwame Quansah’s decision to relinquish the armband.
The Ghana international wants to refocus his energies towards improving his form thus his decision to shed of the team’s leadership role.
“It was definitely an honor to be captain of Heracles, but I found it at the expense of my own game,” The 29-year-old said.
“Now I can again fully concentrate on football.”
Heracles coach Peter Bosz accepts Quansah’s decision and hopes the move will fully serve its purpose this season.
“Kwame has fairly stated not to feel completely happy in his role as captain,” Bosz said.
“Now he is again fully focus on football.”
Pasveer will be assisted in his new captaincy role by midfielder Willie Overtoom.
