Ghana youth striker Kwame Nsor was in jubilant mood on Tuesday night as his FC Metz side were officially declared champions of the French Ligue 2 after their victory over Troyes.

The 21-year-old crocked forward watched from screens as his Metz side recorded a memorable 1-0 win over Troyes at the Stade de l'Aube to open a 10 point gap between them and second-placed Caen with three games left to draw down the curtains on the season.

Metz secured their ticket back to the French elite division a fortnight ago and have been battling to win the Ligue 2 title and their victory on Tuesday night confirmed them as champions.

Nsor's season has been disturbed by injuries as he was able to appear in just 10 games for them and scored three times.
